Garden Inspiration: A Poem

Wow, that was fast! Spring came and went, and we are in the midst of summer. School is out and so is our routine! We run from one event to another; home long enough to pull a few weeds and water. When I get a breath, I assess how the garden is growing . . .
What is chewing and pooping in the garden? Do I have any insect damage?
Is everything green and healthy looking? We probably need to fertilize.
Does anything need harvested? We are hungry! Check out our broccoli harvest!
Annie Calovich, the garden writer of our local paper shared the following poem with us. I agreed whole heartedly with her thoughts on June! I re-read the poem for all the little ears in the house to hear.
The days are clear,
Day after day,
When April’s here,
That leads to May,
Must follow soon:
Stay, June, stay!
If only we could stop the moon

May you enjoy the month of June as much as your garden does.
